We are SO excited to celebrate Dr. Qinglan Ling, one of this year’s recipients of the 2025 NF Northeast Research Award!
Dr. Ling, an accomplished scientist with more than 10 years of experience in gene therapy and neurological diseases, is leading an innovative project at UMass Chan Medical School focused on improving gene replacement therapy for NF2-related schwannomatosis.
Her project aims to improve how gene replacement therapy works by engineering a more effective form of the MERLIN protein, which could open the door to more impactful therapies for people living with NF2-SWN.
